Privacy and Security
Project Zero eBookstore's credit card processing is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. SSL technology is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your financial information, including your credit card number and expiration date, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
For your security, Project Zero does not store your credit card information. Your financial information is used only at the time of checkout to validate your credit card and complete the purchase. While this makes for a more lengthy check out process, we believe it is a worthwhile trade-off in order to protect your financial information.
The Project Zero eBookstore does store your name and contact information. We may use this information to contact you with regard to orders you place. Project Zero and the Harvard Graduate School of Education may also use your e-mail address at times to contact you regarding special offers, new publications, and other items of interest. Contact us if you would rather not receive such e-mails.
The information collected by Project Zero for the purposes of the eBookstore will be used by Project Zero only. Your information will not be given or sold to any third party.
Additionally, the Project Zero eBookstore is in compliance with Harvard University's privacy policy.
